True Mom Confessions:Real Moms Get Real – Romi Lassally

true-mom-confessionsThis book was my gift to me for Mother’s Day and I actually read it in bed while drinking coffee on my day. This book is so funny and

will make you feel like you are in good company when you do some things that perhaps you really don’t want anyone to find out about. The book was actually derived from the website which is a place where mom’s can come and be anonymous and share their feeling about motherhood and coping with the day to day issues. These are real moms and real situations and you just can so appreciate what they are talking about and sometimes could swear these were your own words. The author is the same woman who created the website and she just wanted a judgment free zone for moms to be able to share. You will laugh, maybe cry, and definitely nod your head in agreement. It just lets you know as a mom that we are not perfect and are just doing the best we can. Here are a few of the confessions – “It’s been one of those days. I just ate a full pint of Haagen-Dazs and when my three year old asked me what I was eating, I told her it was special medicine for mommies because I didn’t want to share” “Sometime I lock myself in the bathroom” One story was from a mom whose little boy threw up I the middle of the night and she was so tired she secretly hoped the dog would lick it up. I know gross, but honest? You can check out the actual website at The book was just cute and I literally finished it in an hour because really, how much more time could I really get to myself anyway?
